On May 16th, another subreddit, /r/opposinggallowboob was banned for violating "Reddit's content policy against harassing content" (screenshot below, right).įollowing the /r/therewasanattempt post, Reddit administrator sodypop responded to the post saying that they were seeing "an unacceptable amount of large-scale harassment being directed at. For example, a subreddit calling for the removal of moderator Gallowboob, who is also Reddit's top user (screenshot below, left). The list spurred a backlash against the mods listed. The post received more than 115,000 points (92% upvoted) and 6,200 comments in less than one week. Two days later, Redditor BruhMoment posted the list on the /r/ThereWasAnAttempt subreddit.

On May 12th, Redditor rootin-tootin_putin posted the list in the /r/ThatsInsane, which received more than 13,000 points (99% upvoted) and 600 comments in less than two weeks. On April 1st, Redditor Slimeyzilla shared the list on the /r/ conspiracy subreddit, receiving more than 2,100 points (97% upvoted) and 200 comments in less than two months. Over the next two months, Redditors continued to share the list of moderators.
